Stella fell and fractured her hip in November 2016. She selected Transitional Care by Saint Therese at North Memorial Health Hospital. She was in severe pain and required maximal assistance for her most basic needs, such as daily hygiene, dressing, and walking. By January 2017, Stella safely returned home to continue outpatient therapy with Ascend therapists.
Stella contacted Ascend to schedule rehab after scheduling a knee replacement in May 2017. Unfortunately, following surgery, Stella’s doctor transferred her to a facility outside of the Saint Therese community. She wasn’t happy with her experience there and requested an immediate transfer to Saint Therese.
Stella has progressed well in her recovery and has returned home with a little help from her Ascend Rehab in-home therapy team.
